Herb'n-Living-Maid-cleaning-tip

Here are four steps on how to clean and maintain you wood cutting board.

Clean

Immediately after using your wood cutting board, wash with soap and hot water. Stand up in your drying rack and allow all sides to dry. Remember soaking wood or not allowing it to dry will warp and cause cracks in your cutting board.

Deep Clean

Rub ½ teaspoon of sea salt or baking powder on each side of your wood cutting board and half of a juiced or un-juiced lemon to remove stains. (Once you’re done with the lemon, toss the ride into the garbage disposal to freshen!)

Deodorize

To remove odors from your cutting board, wipe both sides down with white vinegar and wipe dry.

Condition

To maintain the longevity and appearance, rub with mineral oil for a finishing touch!
